Our extensive experience in the concrete cutting business allows us to provide cost efficient, long-lasting solutions for any project, large or small.

Customer FAQs:

Hand sawing is used to make quick and precise modifications to walls and floors. It is the ideal solution for working in small or confined spaces where larger equipment cannot fit or be easily accessed.

Our crews rely on three main types of handheld saws to navigate tight spaces, finish corners, and perform quick modifications: cut-off saws, ring saws, and diamond chainsaws.

Besides cured concrete, our diamond-tipped hand saws can cut asphalt, masonry and stone, and reinforced concrete (involving rebar).

Absolutely! A major benefit of working with Intracut is that we provide a complete full service solution. All debris removal is handled by our sister company, Metropolis Disposal. As such, so you don’t have to worry about hiring another contractor.

Hand sawing costs are determined by factors such as the project’s scope, the depth and linear feet of the cut, the material’s composition, and any demolition and removal requirements.

Location also impacts cost; for example, in the Los Angeles Metro Area, prices can be higher due to increased labor wages, strict regulations, and higher disposal fees.

Yes, our crews are scheduled with a minimum of 4 hours per project. Even if your job takes less time, we set aside a full crew and resources for that window to complete the work properly and efficiently.

Hand Sawing Capabilities & Depth Ranges

While heavy machinery handles large-scale demolition, portable hand saws are the surgeons’ tools of the concrete world. They allow our teams to access restricted areas and provide the finishing touches that ensure a project meets exact specifications.

We utilize three primary handheld technologies to address various structural requirements:

1

Standard Cut-Off Saws (5″–6″ Depth)

These are our go-to tools for general-purpose tasks, such as trimming masonry blocks, cutting expansion joints, or segmenting thin concrete slabs. Their lightweight, highly mobile design allows us to perform quick, precise cuts in areas where larger equipment is impractical.

2

Precision Ring Saws (10″–12″ Depth)

When a project requires a deeper reach than a standard circular saw but lacks the clearance for a track system, we deploy ring saws. Because the blade is driven from the rim rather than a center arbor, it provides nearly double the cutting depth, making it ideal for thick concrete pipes and heavy-duty wall modifications.

3

Diamond Chainsaws (15″–25″ Depth)

To eliminate “overcutting” at the corners of door and window openings, we use diamond chainsaws. Their ability to perform deep plunge cuts allows us to create perfectly square corners and penetrate extremely thick reinforced walls from a single side without compromising the surrounding structural integrity.
